Here the patients are thoroughly examined and each patient is given an allotted time so that the examination and subsequent treatment can be done satisfactorily. The examination procedure for all patients at FIO Hospital is as follows.

 

1. First the patient receives his number from the counter and waits for his turn.

2. After the turn, the patient is sent to Refraction Room for initial examination.

3. After that, the patient is sent to the assistant doctor for history and examination, where the doctors examine and sees what kind of treatment or test the patient has to undergo. In these, patients are given further instructions in the order of normalization, dilation and anesthesia. 

4. Patients with normal and dilated patients are sent to OPD while for Investigation patients are sent to the second floor for Diagnostic.

5. Normal patients wait for their turn while the dilation process takes time.

6. Dilation’s process takes 20 to 30 minutes for each patient. In between which normal patients are examined.

7. Patients who are referred for investigation have to go through three stages. In these, patients' eyes are examined in detail through modern technology like Pantacam, OCT and Visual Field.

8. After all the tests are completed, the patients come to the Consultant Clinic with their reports, where they are treated and given further instructions.

9. The Counselor Room is open round the clock to educate the patients and explain the surgical procedure.

10. Each patient is examined carefully and each patient is given an allotted time.
